Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that you might be curious about the process, and we're here to provide you with answers to the most commonly asked questions.

Which is better? Male or Female?

It is said that with Cavaliers that Females love you, but males are in love with you.

Females are often described as independent and intuitive, prefer to be in the same room as their human, are often smarter, more focused and tend to be more observant. But, they can be more bossy and "diva like" around other dogs.

Males are often described as dependent and affectionate, usually more easy going and eager to please, and their world revolves entirely around their human.

What type of food do we feed our dogs?

We feed all our dogs Purina ProPlan products. It's often the "gold standard" recommendation from vets and professional breeders. We wanted a science-first based diet that has been proven to work for millions of dogs. It's not the flashiest brand in terms of "human-grade" marketing, but it is one of the most consistently reliable for actual canine health.

How old are puppies before they're allowed to leave for new homes?

We keep our puppies between 9-10 weeks, to insure their immune system is strong and they are eating well on their own. Cavaliers are a particularly soft and social breed. Because they are prone to being "velcro dogs", the extra weeks spent with their mother can help them gain a bit of confidence.

Can we visit our puppy at your home?

You may make arrangements to come visit your puppy when they are between 4-6 weeks old. Up until 4 weeks, puppies have virtually no immune system, mother's are highly protective or stressed by "stranger danger" and we like to keep the environment as sterile as possible. At 4-6 weeks, puppies are starting to walk, play and eat solid food and their personalities are beginning to emerge.

What colors do Cavaliers come in?

* Blenheim: A pearly white with rich chestnut colored markings.

* Tri Colored: A pearly white with jet black markings and rich tan points.

* Ruby: Whole-colored rich brown/red.

* Black and Tan: Jet black with rich, bright tan markings.
